Organic Lemongrass Essential Oil. Like its cousin citronella, Lemongrass is a large aromatic herb that grows in a tuft of long, thin leaves grown in warm regions. Its essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of fresh aerial parts. This process consists of carrying the volatile components (essential oil) of the leaves with the water vapor. The vapor then condenses in the swarm, separating the essential oils from the hydrolase (water).
